R.C.I.A. - Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults
WHAT IS THE
RCIA?
The RCIA is a rite of initiation
fully into the Catholic Church. It takes place at the Easter
Vigil Mass each year. The program begins in the fall.
It consists of weekly classes/meetings with the RCIA team,
one evening a week.
WHO IS THE RCIA
FOR?
-
Any adult not yet baptized
who wishes to become Catholic
-
Any adult baptized in
another Christian church who wishes to become Catholic.
-
Any adult baptized Catholic
who, after a time of inactivity in the Church, wishes to
rededicate himself or herself as a Catholic.
-
Any adult baptized Catholic
who has not yet celebrated Eucharist and/or Confirmation
and wishes to do so.

ST. PIUS X PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION(CCD)
The St. Pius X School of
Religion provides religious education for children and young
adults in grades 1-12 who attend public or non-Catholic
private schools.
Elementary (Grades 1-7) classes are held on Sundays from
9:30-10:45 AM from September through May.
High
School (Grades 8-12) classes are held on Sundays from
9:30-10:45 AM except the first Sunday of the month, when the
students will meet for class with the CYO from 6-7:30 PM
NOTE: In addition to providing
ongoing and progressive instruction in the Catholic faith,
this program is mandatory for students expecting to
celebrate the sacraments of First Eucharist and Confirmation
in the parish. At least two years of REGULAR attendance is
required to fulfill the criteria for the reception of these
sacraments.
REGISTRATION:
Registration cards may be found in church. You may fill
these out at any time and return to the rectory with a copy
of your child’s Baptismal certificate and the fee of $20.00.
Final registration will take place the second Sunday of
September. If you have not yet registered or your child is a
continuing student, you may register at this time. Calendars
for the school year will be distributed at this time.
NOTE: If
your child is new to the program this fall, you must present
his/her Baptismal certificate at the time of registration.
